Our slogan is:

Build. Share. Earn.

This Policy applies to users, creators, subscribers, visitors and anyone who uploads, publishes, sends, streams, sells, purchases, reports or interacts with content on Fandations.

This Policy should be read together with our Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, Creator Agreement, Prohibited Content Policy, Refund Policy, Payments and Payouts Policy, Finance Content Rules, and any other relevant Fandations policies.

1. Purpose of This Policy

Fandations wants to provide a safer environment where users can learn, share, build communities and support creators responsibly.

This Policy explains:

  1. how users can report harmful or illegal content;

  2. what safety tools may be available;

  3. how Fandations may review and moderate content;

  4. how we may respond to illegal content;

  5. how we approach child safety;

  6. how we handle complaints and appeals;

  7. how we may keep records;

  8. how we may cooperate with regulators, payment providers, law enforcement and other authorities.

2. Online Safety Act Notice

Fandations may be subject to duties under the UK Online Safety Act depending on how the platform operates, the features enabled and the users it serves.

Ofcom states that in-scope services must carry out an illegal content risk assessment, put in place protections under the safety and related duties, and comply with record-keeping and review duties. (www.ofcom.org.uk)

The UK Government states that illegal content duties are in effect and that Ofcom can enforce against the regime for in-scope service providers. (GOV.UK)

Fandations aims to operate in a way that supports user safety, responsible moderation, clear reporting routes and appropriate record keeping.

3. Fandations Is Not an Adult-Content Platform

Fandations is not an adult-content platform.

Users and creators must not upload, publish, sell, request, promote, link to, message or distribute:

  1. pornography;

  2. sexually explicit content;

  3. escort services;

  4. sexual services;

  5. sexual solicitation;

  6. paid sexual messaging;

  7. fetish content;

  8. nudity intended for sexual gratification;

  9. adult-only content;

  10. links to adult-content platforms.

Content or accounts that breach this rule may be removed, restricted, suspended, terminated, reported, and may be subject to payout holds where appropriate.

4. Age Requirement and Child Safety

Fandations is for users aged 18 or over.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, use the platform, subscribe to creators, upload content, send messages, purchase content, become a creator or receive payouts.

We do not knowingly allow children to use Fandations.

If we believe a user is under 18, we may:

  1. suspend the account;

  2. request age or identity verification;

  3. remove content;

  4. cancel access;

  5. restrict messaging;

  6. restrict payments or payouts;

  7. delete the account where appropriate;

  8. preserve records where required;

  9. report concerns where legally required or appropriate.

Ofcom states that providers may also need to complete a children’s access assessment to determine whether child protection duties apply, and where applicable carry out a children’s risk assessment and comply with related protection duties. (www.ofcom.org.uk)

5. Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse

Fandations has zero tolerance for child sexual exploitation or abuse.

Users must not upload, publish, send, request, save, promote, link to, sell, stream or distribute:

  1. child sexual abuse material;

  3. sexualised content involving minors;

  4. grooming behaviour;

  5. content encouraging sexual contact with minors;

  6. content that identifies children for exploitation;

  7. jokes, roleplay or fantasy involving sexualised minors;

  8. instructions or communities that facilitate child exploitation.

Where Fandations detects, receives a report of, or reasonably suspects child sexual exploitation or abuse content, we may remove or restrict the content, suspend accounts, preserve records, and report to relevant authorities where legally required or appropriate.

Ofcom’s online safety resources include guidance on the duty for service providers to report child sexual exploitation and abuse content under the Online Safety Act. (www.ofcom.org.uk)

When reporting content or behaviour, please include as much detail as possible.

Do not download, copy, share or redistribute illegal or harmful content.

10. Emergency Situations

Fandations is not an emergency service.

If you believe someone is in immediate danger, contact emergency services first.

In the UK, call 999 for emergencies.

You may also report the issue to Fandations, but we cannot guarantee immediate response.

11. Blocking and User Controls

Where available, users may be able to block or restrict interaction with other users.

Blocking may help prevent another user from:

  1. messaging you;

  2. commenting on your content;

  3. viewing certain areas of your profile;

  4. interacting with your posts;

  5. following you;

  6. participating in your community.

Blocking tools are not a substitute for reporting serious safety concerns.

If someone is threatening, harassing, scamming or abusing you, you should report them.

12. Moderation Approach

Fandations may use a combination of automated tools, manual review, user reports, staff review, payment provider information, legal notices and compliance processes.

Fandations is not required to pre-screen every item of content before it is published, but we may do so where appropriate.

13. Automated Review and Detection

Fandations may use automated systems to help detect, prioritise or prevent harmful activity.

Automated systems may help identify:

  1. spam;

  14. illegal-content indicators.

Automated tools may not always be accurate. Where appropriate, moderation decisions may involve human review.

14. Manual Review

Fandations may manually review content, accounts, reports, payments, payouts, creator activity or complaints.

Manual review may occur when:

  1. content is reported;

  2. automated systems flag an issue;

  5. a creator requests payout;

  6. verification fails;

  22. referral to law enforcement or relevant authorities where appropriate.

We may take immediate action for serious safety risks.

Where we identify or suspect a child safety issue, we may take urgent action.

This may include:

  1. removing content;

  2. restricting accounts;

  3. suspending accounts;

  5. preserving relevant records;

  6. disabling messages;

  7. blocking payments or payouts;

  8. reporting to relevant authorities where required or appropriate;

  9. cooperating with lawful investigations.

Child safety concerns are treated as high priority.

Fandations may remove content, restrict accounts, hold payouts, reverse payments, report activity or require verification.

21. Finance and Business Content Safety

Fandations may allow general educational content about business, budgeting, entrepreneurship, money management, trading or investing.

However, finance-related content must be educational, balanced, clear, fair and not misleading.

Creators must not provide regulated financial advice, investment recommendations, financial promotions, trading signals, crypto promotions, credit offers, debt advice, pension advice, insurance advice or tax advice unless they are legally authorised and approved by Fandations.

The FCA has stated that financial promotion rules apply across social media channels and has continued action against illegal “finfluencer” activity. (www.ofcom.org.uk)

22. Health and Wellbeing Content Safety

Fandations may allow general educational health, wellbeing, fitness, nutrition or lifestyle content.

Creators must not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, emergency advice or regulated healthcare services unless legally authorised and approved by Fandations where required.

Unsafe health content may be removed or restricted, especially where it:

  1. encourages self-harm;

  2. promotes dangerous diets;

  3. discourages professional medical help;

  4. claims to cure serious illness without authorisation;

  5. exploits vulnerable users;
